College Edge is more than a class. During your four weeks on campus, you’ll take part in events and activities that help you meet people, explore UW and Seattle, and get ready for Autumn Quarter. Subscribe to the program calendar so you don’t miss anything.

Before the program

• April 5, 2027: Registration opens
• August 6, 2027: Registration closes
• Before August 23, 2027: Complete Parts 1 and 2 of UW Advising & Orientation

During College Edge (August 23–September 17, 2027)

Your calendar will include:

• Welcome events: move-in support, student onboarding, a family welcome, and a kickoff picnic with classmates and faculty
• Career workshops from gesture: interactive sessions on making strong first impressions and building your professional story
• Campus and Seattle outings: trips to places like Pike Place Market, museums, parks, and a Mariners game, plus campus resource tours
• Class field experiences: visits around campus and Seattle connected to your seminar, with costs covered by the program
• CIRCLE events for international students: help setting up U.S. phone and banking services, plus social events like a scavenger hunt and canoeing
• Residence hall activities: social events for students living in Lander Hall

Some activities are designed for particular groups of students, and others are open to everyone. Check each event for details.
