For Parents and Families

A Strong Start for Your Student

Starting college is a major transition—not just for students, but for families too. College Edge helps make that transition easier by offering a welcoming, supportive introduction to academic and campus life at the University of Washington.

Over four weeks, students earn UW academic credit, build friendships, connect with faculty, and explore campus through small, engaging classes and hands-on experiences. Along the way, they develop the confidence, independence, and sense of belonging that will help them thrive at UW.

As a parent or family member, you're an important part of this journey. Our goal is to help you feel informed and connected while giving your student the opportunity to begin their college experience with confidence.
