Course Changes

You may switch College Edge courses—as space allows—between April 5 and August 22, 2027. Contact college-edge@uw.edu if you want to make a registration change request. 

After August 23, 2026, all course selections are final, and changes are no longer permitted.

We understand that you may not get your first-choice seminar due to small class sizes, but we encourage you to keep an open mind. All College Edge courses are designed specifically for incoming first-year students, have no prerequisites, and fulfill a variety of general education requirements toward your UW degree.

Payment & Refund Policy 2027

Full Refund

April 5 – August 22, 2027

  • Refund: $2,045 (5 credits) or $2,245 (6 credits)

  • Non-refundable: $100 deposit + $55 registration fee

Total program cost is $2,200 for a 5-credit Discovery Seminar or $2,400 for 6 credits, including ARTSCI 150.

Partial Refund

August 23 – August 31, 2027

  • Refund: 50% of refundable tuition and fees ($1,022.50 for 5 credits or $1,122.50 for 6 credits)

  • Non-refundable: $100 deposit + $55 registration fee

No Refund

September 1, 2027, onward

  • No refunds are available.

  • Full program cost of $2,200 (5 credits) or $2,400 (6 credits) applies.
