Program Costs

College Edge costs $2,500 or $2,950 (if you add the optional 1-credit ARTSCI 150D course). The cost is the same for all students—resident and nonresident—and is separate from your regular Autumn Quarter tuition.

College Edge is a self-sustaining program, and not all forms of financial aid or tuition waivers apply. Please consult the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) to confirm your eligibility.

Payment Details

The total program cost is $2,500 or $2,950, depending on your course selection. This includes:

  • non-refundable $100 deposit, and

  • $55 registration fee

Your College Edge charges will be added to your UW tuition account and will appear alongside Autumn Quarter tuition on September 10, 2026.

If you need to drop or withdraw from your College Edge course, specific refund deadlines apply. Please refer to the Drops and Withdrawals page for full details.

A small portion of program costs may support student mementos, events, and refreshments offered throughout the program.

College Edge fees do not include room and board. For housing details, please visit the Housing page.

Financial Aid

If you have applied for financial aid for the upcoming academic year, you may submit a Financial Aid Revision Request to the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA). The form is available on the OSFA website. You can contact OSFA at 206-543-6101 or osfa@uw.edu.

Once your request is received, OSFA will determine whether your aid package can be increased. All College Edge students are automatically considered for a limited pool of need-based scholarships. If a scholarship is not available, you may still be eligible for an increase in student or parent loans.

If you qualify for financial aid for College Edge, you may defer payment until Autumn Quarter tuition is due, when your aid is disbursed.

Students planning to use a GET 529 Plan must submit the Direct Payment Request Form (separate from the form used for Student Fiscal Services) and designate UWPCE as the payee.
