Completing Advising and Orientation

Important Requirements
  • Registration: You can register for a College Edge course after confirming your commitment to UW and paying the New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee (NSEOF).
  • Attendance: All College Edge students must attend an A&O session (led by First Year Programs) before their course starts on August 18, 2025.
A&O Session Details
  • Completion Required: To register for additional autumn quarter courses, you must complete Part 1 (online modules) and Part 2 (remote session).
  • Session Availability: Many A&O sessions are offered throughout the summer. Reserve your spot on the First Year Programs Advising & Orientation site.
For International Students
  • Specific Entry Date: The earliest date that International Students may arrive in the U.S. is Sunday, August 17, 2025. Please visit the International Student page for more details.  
  • Welcome Event: New international students will be invited to a welcome event by the Center for International Relations & Cultural Leadership Exchange (CIRCLE).
  • Post-Arrival Checklist: Upon arrival in the U.S., complete the New Student Post-Arrival Checklist, which includes submitting immigration documents online, updating your local address, and registering full-time for autumn quarter.
